You’ve just finished a fit-out in your new home or office and you’re so happy. The place looks amazing, and it feels so good to be in the space, enjoying the different features.

It makes perfect sense that you’d want to show off your awesome space. Here are some ideas to get your new interior design out in the world.

Take professional photos

Before you go sharing your new interior design all over the internet, it’s important to present it at its absolute best. That means having a professional photographer document the space. They’ll be able to get the light perfect and capture the best angles to make your space look like a million bucks.

As a final stage of any project, Mal Corboy will get in a professional photographer to document the new interior design. With your permission, he’ll include your design in his portfolio and share it on social media, and you’ll also be able to use the photographs for your own purposes.

Submit to design blogs

If you were involved in the design process, you’ve probably spent a lot of time hanging out on interior design blogs, drooling over other people's’ interior designs. Now is your chance to be in the spotlight!

Most blog list their submission process on their websites. You’ll need to send in some images, and write a little about the story behind your design. Don’t forget to include a link to your interior designer’s website!

Submit to design magazines

Getting into a magazine is even more prestigious than appearing on a design blog, so you know if you get in that your design is really special. Magazines list their submission requirements on their websites, or chat to your interior designer as they are probably regularly submitting projects for consideration.

Join a home tour

Many architectural, design, and charity organisations run home tours, where a group of people pay for tickets to tour around various houses in the area. Why not make your home a stop on the tour?

A home tour gives you the chance to talk one-on-one with other interested people about design. You can talk about the story behind your design decisions and even invite the interior designer along to talk about the process.

Post your images on your favourite social media sites and encourage others to share them and ask questions. Try to use appropriate hashtags (#scandimodern #industrial #minimalist, etc) to help people to find your images.

If you’re happy with your design, then why not show it off to the world!

There are so many reasons to bring on board a designer to work with you from conception right through to installation. Let critically-acclaimed interior designer Mal Corboy show you how he can transform your home. Contact Mal for a no-obligation consultation today.
